ENGINEERING
Engineering is one of the foremost offerings from Maven Power. Our extensive experience base delivers engineered products required for the most complex of power projects. Engineering disciplines include mechanical, electrical, automation, and drafting/design. Our team includes in-house engineers as well as field support of all the provided disciplines.
Mechanical Engineering
Offerings include conceptual design and cost estimating, liquid or natural gas fuel delivery and storage systems, P&IDs, line sizing and piping design. Performance studies of power plants can be provided including simple, cogeneration, and combined cycle thermodynamic analyses.
Electrical Engineering
Includes compliance with utility interconnect requirements, grounding, equipment selection and sizing, and owner representation. Power studies include system coordination, load flow, short circuit power studies, and protective relaying. System modeling is accomplished using state of the art software (ETAP), and supported relays include numerous offerings from ABB, GE, Beckwith and many others.
Automation
Our enterprise-wide based approach to monitoring and controlling generation assets—from a single unit to a country-wide system of generators maximizes the efficiency of your generation. We specialize in custom applications for new and existing generation assets to provide controls such as load shedding, load following, import/export control, and automatic source transfers in grid parallel applications. A web-based approach allows for full system monitoring from the instrument point level all the way up to overall asset efficiency. Automation systems from Allen-Bradley, ABB, Schneider Electric, Siemens, and many more are supported.
Drafting and Design
Our drafting and design team can provide deliverables to meet any requirement including single line diagrams, general arrangement & assembly drawings, electrical schematics, P&IDs, proof of concept, and many more. We support the most recent versions of AutoCAD as well as earlier varieties.
